The hotel is brand new and the rooms are so pleasant, very well equipped. We booked an economy room and yet we had a small living room with a sofa, a coffee table and a stylish carpet. The bathroom is excellent, with a walk-in shower in nice mosaic tiles. Our bedroom had a flatscreen and very nice bed linen. The double-glazed windows were so good that I think this was the quietest room we had in Sicily. The manager, Daniele, is truly kind, he even parked our car for us (the street is quite narrow!). The hotel is perfectly located to visit old Monreale and mostly the breathtaking cathedral. This cathedral by itself is worth a flight to Sicily. Overall a superb stay at Monreale, I would not think of staying anywhere else. This hotel is perfect. Thanks Daniele for your kindness!

Everything was more than nice about Palazzo Ducale Suites. It’s a very nicely restored and decorated old olive factory on a quiet street in wonderful Monreale, a few streets from the incomparable world renowned duomo with it’s mosaics and the two piazza’S. Sicily at it’s best. Much nicer to stay here than in run down Palermo. Rooms are well appointed, nicely designed and furnished, with a free wifi router in every room. Some rooms are more like apartments, with different levels. Welcome is very friendly and sincere, with refreshments on the terrace. Breakfast equally good, with freshly squeezed fruit juices. The hotel has free parking (in the old olive press factory spaces) but to get your car in, ask the manager Daniele, who is more than willing to help and very experienced at this. Maybe the nicest hotel during our stay in Sicily, also perfect for evening strolls through the town.
    Negative:
The hotel is not very suitable for people who have difficulties climbing stairs, because there are many inside stairs and different levels, giving the hotel lots of charm.

This is a gorgeous hotel, I would highly recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the area; there’s a regular bus service from Monreale to Palermo, so if you want to visit the city do consider this hotel! The hotel is made up of suites, so you get a lovely living room, gorgeous modern bathroom, and then a separate bedroom (great bed, free Sky, little balcony over the street). This was probably the best designed and most modern place we stayed in across northern Sicily, and I wish we’d stayed there longer. Breakfast is taken on a pretty terrace overlooking their orchard/garden, and was delicious, with lots of choice, delicious breads and pastries, fruit, freshly made coffee. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the whole vibe of the place is wonderfully relaxing. Cannot recommend it highly enough!

Very attractive, modern hotel. Good facilities. Difficult to find without sat-nav but well worth the effort. Staff friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast. Would stay again.

What a gem!!! Located just 3 minutes walk from the Duomo in Monreale in the heart of the old town, this is a quite delightful boutique style hotel. It requires a bit of initiative to find it but once there will not disappoint. Watching the skill of Danielle, the owner, park your car from the narrow roadway is worth the cost of a nights accommodation alone! Beautifully appointed in a very modern style which belies the exterior and is very personal. Provides the best breakfast in Italy!!!

Tucked away in the middle of a medieval hill-top town, these suites are incredible value for money – at least in the off season. We got a huge sitting room with Sky TV and mini bar, large bedroom with king-sized bed and a small but high spec bathroom with excellent shower. All for 60 euros for b&b for 2. Daniele, the manager is a delight – he helped park our car (extremely narrow streets, crazy Sicilian drivers) and made restaurant reservations for us and was always offering to help out.
    Negative:
Unfortunately, Sicily was in the grip of an unprecedented cold-spell and neither of the two pensiones we stayed at had effective enough heating – I presume they don’t really need it very often.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here – Daniele was so helpful and accomodating. The hotel was new, clean and comfortable. Both mornings we had our breakfast out on the sunny terrace. We thought the fresh squeezed orange juice was a nice touch. We enjoyed the oranges so much that Daniele packed us a bag of a few oranges each day to take with us for our lunch. We also liked the fact that when it was difficult to find the hotel – we just called Daniele and he met us and drove our car to the hotel and parked it in his garage. We would definitely stay here again.
