My wife and I stayed at the hotel for two days in April 2012, and our one regret was that the stay there was too short as we enjoyed ourselves in Erice enormously. The hotel is very well-located and all the amenities (including wi-fi) are first-class. The staff were very helpful and friendly; convenient street parking was safe and very close to the hotel. The entire experience was one that we would recommend without reservation. We also had an excellent meal at one of the recommended restaurants in Erice, the Monte San Giuliano.

Hotel San Domenico is located in the perfectly preserved medievil village of Erice high up a mountain in Sicily. I had read about it in a couple of travel articles over the years and my wife and I wanted to experience staying there for a couple of nights, giving us time to wander about the village. I’m glad we did. The hotel room is basic and the bathroom is small, but all facilities were updated about 2 years ago. Since it only has 7 rooms, service has a personal feel.
Negative:
The miniscule bathroom. Also, although it was not a problem for us, there is no elevator. Our room was up two flights. I would recommend this hotel only to persons who can do without any luxuries during their stay, though I am not aware of any even semi-luxury hotels in Erice.

El pequeno hotel muy bien situado en el centro de Erice, ofrece cuartos , muy confortables con muy buenos servicios. Calefaccion central e individual cosa muy importante en este lugar. Los propietarios son muy agradables y gentiles. El desayuno es muy bueno. Digno de ser recomendado.
