    met expectations
it was somewhat ‘soul less’, austere, no ambience, a little scruffy. Reception staff helpful and friendly, breakfast room staff surly, non-communicative. Clearing of tables after diners left was very slow. Breakfast food ok. Loved the notice saying food only to be consumed at breakfast and not removed for later!

I liked the friendly service. The front desk staff was very helpful with information about the city. The breakfast was also quiet good, with a wide assortment of foods.

I was help by four different hotel receptionists. We missed our boat and checked in late. They were extremely helpful and assisting us in re- booking the boat. Additionally, we had a hotel in Palermo booked with would not change the date. I advised the hotel reception and they were able to get it changed to another date. Thus saving the the cost of the hotel. They also helped me with airline reservations and bookings. They were the best and most helpful receptionists that we met on our 46th day self-guided tour.also, the breakfast is great.

Excellent location with many “attractions” such as the Palazzo Normanni, the cathedral, the food market (to mention just a few of many) within walking distance. And good restaurants. Excellent reception desk with very helpful staff, great room and good breakfast in the morning. And free wifi. Secure underground hotel parking at € 13 per day is a serious (and good) option. In other words, we were very satisfied with Hotel Mediterraneo.

I prefer the location since it’s in the town, and I could go anywhere I want by feet.

Great location. Large, clean rooms in fine condition. Price made trip very cheap. Friendly staff. Can’t complain at all.

Modern and comfortable in an excellent location. The staff were good, not great, and the lifts were efficient. Breakfast was ok, but there was no hot food on offer; the coffee was from a machine but excellent. And though the rack rates on the door were expensive, the actual rate we paid represented excellent value for money.
No English channel on the tv; bbc Worldwide or cnn would have been appreciated.

Very convenient for the city, but reasonably quiet. I was able to come and go as I liked, and felt relaxed
I think the breakfast room was rather drab…and maybe could do with repainting/restyling

Very clean. Great service. Good car parking garage. Renovated interiors were lovely. Showers fantastic. Spacious rooms. Fantastic coffee shop across the road.
The beds were hard – probably because they were new. Coffee at breakfast was not very good.

We appreciated the kindness of the receptionists.
I didn’t really appreciate the hotel but as in Palermo the prices are all very high confronted with the quality, it was quite fair.
