What a wonderful place to stay! The french windows in our bedroom opened onto the port – one day a tall masted ship, another day a cruise ship, directly ahead of us. In the old city, nothing was far and Trapani is a very relaxing town, lots of cafes and excellent restaurants. We had two very, very large rooms and a refrigerator, plus a bath, all rather baroque and very clean. A very large bed for my daughter and myself, although a pull-out bed was available in the other room, we didn’t need it. Another reviewer writes about the street noise – we had no problems. It is also only a block or two from the Palermo and airport buses, very convenient.

de locatie was prima gelegen. het appartement lag net aan het begin of einde van het zeer kleine centrumpje. de kamer had een balkonnetje dat uitkeek op een drukke winkelstraat en leuke authentieke luiken, ramen en balkondeuren. maar………….

wij belden aan: deur open, kwamen in een soort garage en werden van boven aan een trap toegeroepen.wij zijn daarna ondergebracht in een appartement: trappenhuis vochtig en gebladderd, drie trappen met koffers opslepen, de gastheer stak geen hand uit. kwamen in zeer ruim appartement,bestaande uit ‘hok” met raampje van ongeveer 20 bij 15 centimeter met gaas voor ( dit was een slaapkamer voor eventuele derde persoon) het stonk muf, vergeelde koelkast ( minibar), halletje, grote slaapkamer met vlekkerige vloerbedekking,muffe lucht, zeer, zeer gedateerd bij elkaar gezocht meubilair en accessoires, badkamer met roest aan bad, gammele douchedeur, oude kapstok als badhanddoekrek, en geen ontbijt B&B? alles bij elkaar een zware teleurstelling, prijs kwaliteit absoluut niet in evenwicht, in vergelijk wat we op onze rondrit hebben gezien en gekregen voor hetzelfde bedrag, was de helft van het gestelde bedrag goed betaald. absoluut geen aanrader.jammer want er was best wat van dit appartement te maken geweest, fris verfje alles stralend wit, schone nieuwe meubels van de bekende zweed, laminaat, wat (nep)planten in het trappenhuis en je kunt er mensen ontvangen. nu voel je je echt bekocht. voor het geld kun je elders veel en veel beter terecht en daar zijn de gastheren ook behulpzamer EN je krijgt ontbijt.als ik een cijfer moet geven voor dit verblijf is het een zware onvoldoende. helaas ik zou graag anders maar ik wil anderen de teleurstelling besparen.
